Head Coach Kevin McCaffrey

Coach McCaffrey took over for legendary CDM Coach John Emme in 2019. Coach McCaffrey joined Emme’s staff in 2018 after spending 11 years at University HS. While at UNI, Coach McCaffrey spent time as the PE Chair, Activities Director, Athletic Director, Varsity Football Coach, and Head Baseball Coach. This will be Coach McCaffrey’s 22nd year of coaching with stints at El Toro, Laguna Hills, Beckman, and University. Kevin was a three-year All-League player in both football and baseball at Laguna Hills High School. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in History. He received his Masters from Concordia in Athletic Administration. Coach McCaffrey teaches PE and the Turf Management class here at CDM. When not at the field, Coach McCaffrey enjoys the beach, lake and desert trips, playing golf, and attending college football games. Coach lives in Tustin with his wife Brooke and daughter Marlee. The McCaffrey’s are expecting a new addition to the family as Easton McCaffrey will be born mid-February. Kevin states that he is so lucky to have a loving and competitive partner that allows him to spend so much time out on the field. You can expect to see Brooke, Marlee, and Easton McCaffrey out at some of the games supporting their favorite baseball team and coach this season.
