Mitch Gardner

Mitch grew up in the Port Streets and attended CDM where he played both football and baseball.
He was a three-year starting shortstop and the starting quarterback on the football team while at
CDM.
After high school, Mitch went to Chico State University to play baseball. During his junior year,
he and a fraternity brother developed an app that gained significant traction with the student
body. Both Mitch and his friend took a leave of absence to grow the company that started in their
college apartment.
The company continued to grow, and Mitch was the Co-founder and COO for over six years.
When the coronavirus hit the United States, Mitch came back home to CDM to quarantine with
him family. He made the decision to stay in Southern California and finish his bachelor’s degree
and teaching credential. This will be Coach Garners 3 rd year on the baseball staff at CDM.
Mitch graduated from CDM where he was a leader on both the football and baseball teams.
Coach Gardner teaches Social Science and English at CDM. He also coaches football at CDM.
This will be Coach Gardeners’ fourth year on the CDM baseball staff.
Mitch is engaged to his fiancé Payton. They are planning their wedding and will be getting
married in May of this year!
